About me

I am a UKCP registered Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and qualified Clinical Supervisor. I have been working in an NHS Secondary Care Mental Health Service for the past fourteen years and in Private Practice for the past five.

After a Psychology  Degree, I trained in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the University of Leeds and obtained a Master's Degree. I qualified as a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist in 2007.  Since then I have undertaken extensive additional training including the Foundation Course in Systemic Therapy, Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Reflective Practice in Organisations and Counselling Supervision.

I have extensive experience of assessment and treatment in wide range of settings, in both statutory and voluntary sector organisations. In the past 20 years I have worked with clients from varied cultural contexts and age groups in both brief and long-term psychotherapy.

I have extensive experience of providing supervision to psychotherapists and clinical/counselling psychology trainees and multi-disciplinary colleagues.

I aim to provide a professional, personalised and confidential service to clients who may be experiencing a wide range of psychological difficulties.

"Man's main task in life is to give birth to himself, to become what he potentially is.

The most important product of his effort is his own personality"
